TOYO ITO IDENTITY DESIGN SYSTEM

Although graphic design is traditionally realized in two dimensional form, we can learn a great deal from sister disciplines in design including not only the ways in which other designers think, but also innovative ways to imagine ‘built’ forms. I have studied Pritzker Prize winner Toyo Ito and designed a series of pieces that reflect/interpret the spirit of his work and his design philosophy (without trying to illustrate or duplicate his work in two-dimensional form).
